Gears of War 3 will be released next year. We didn’t know an official release date – until now. Epic Games Vice President has practically confirmed the release date!

A Gears of War fan posted the release date of Gears of War on his Twitter page.

Mark Rein re-tweeted it, but did not correct the fan. So, is that the release date? We think so. Gears of War 3 will be released on April 5th, 2011.

Update: Amazon.com now also lists April 5th as the official release date

So, if you have a calendar for 2011 or something get a red marker and make a big, big X on that day!
