This is a great and extremely cheap way to manipulate photos in a hands-on environment, almost like high tech finger painting. Fhotoroom comes with dozens of screen filters, editing tools and other bells and whistles which make tablet editing fun and easy.

For the serious photographer who doesn’t have the time to devote to learning more involved photo editing software, Lightroom is the solution. While it doesn’t have the functionality of some of the bigger programs available, it’s more than serviceable at less than half the cost. Adobe has assured users that any adobe product that worked with Windows 7 will also work with Windows 8. Those who already own Lightroom can breathe easy.

5 Adobe Photoshop

In the end, Adobe Photoshop will probably always be the first and last word in software editing for many. It’s expensive, you probably need to take a college course to fully understand it, and it often runs very slowly, but nothing else gets you results like Photoshop. Aside from all the versions that have worked with Windows 7, Photoshop CS6 has specifically vetted for use with Windows 8.
