There are a lot of rumors that Microsoft will release Windows 7 this year.
Many people are so over-confident that they want them to release this OS as soon as possible.
At computerworld.com they speculate that Microsoft will release it between October and December 2009.
Apparently users who buy Vista after July 1st get a free upgrade to the equivalent Windows 7 edition and that makes them believe that Microsoft will have to release this “Vista Update” as soon as possible.
Microsoft on the other hand still aims for early 2010 – and I hope that they will stick to that!
In my opinion Microsoft still has a lot of work to do. Windows 7 is not so different from Vista. Many people skipped Windows Vista and now think Windows 7 is the best OS ever made. I knew that the Windows 7 beta would be very stable, because Windows 7 has a very reliable Vista kernel. (Yep, Windows 7 does not have a completely new kernel and therefore is very similar to Vista.)
Microsoft is on a good way, but have to improve a lot of things and that will take time – a lot of it.
The improved homegroup feature (they changed the icon too, click below) will help users to easily connect PC’s in a local network. Leaked Build 7032 Screenshot
