Wii U Release Date: November 23, According To Rise of the Guardians Press Release

Rise Of The Guardians Wii U Releas

We don’t know the release date of the Wii U, but a press release for Rise of the Guardians claims that November 23 is when the Wii U versions of the title will release.

Sega denied its titles wouldn’t coming for Wii U in November, said it is a mistake, but it seems that date is becoming a reality

Sega denied a release date for Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed, citing November, for Wii U saying it was a mistake. A release date for Rise of the Guardians claims November 23 is going to be the Wii U release date for the title, so that launch window definitely seems to be a reality.

The press release said that Rise of the Guardians will release for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii, Nintendo 3DS and DS and November 32. The press release included Wii U.

Nintendo’s console has been confirmed by the end of 2012, according to the company, and a November window would be the ideal period to position the device as something for the holidays.

Developing For November

The developers of Tekken x Street Fighter said that the development of the title for Wii U is slightly behind the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions, but no specific window was stated. We don’t know what titles are arriving on the Wii U, but Nintendo needs a strong launch across a variety of genres with both first- and third-party titles. No easy task, then.

November 23 raises questions, questions Nintendo hasn’t answered: what titles is Nintendo launching with? How do they compare to the version on current HD consoles? Why is Nintendo is holding out a date? What titles are going to be bundled with the console, if any? Part fo the reasons we didn’t walk away excited from Nintendo’s E3 2012 conference is because of the lack of new information. If you’re devoting 15 minutes of the conference to a GamePad-enabled version of Batman: Arkham City, then that’s worrying for potential consumers.

Then there’s also the question over price, because Nintendo needs to have a price to make a profit while avoiding the mistake of pricing the console out of the market. The Nintendo 3DS was a smaller launch than the Wii U: the latter is a next-generation console.
