What’s your highest Windows Experience Index score? Share it!

Microsoft has launched a site to share your Windows Experience Index score. As you might know, Windows will assess your system components on a scale from 1.0 to 7.9 and the lowest rating will be your actual Windows Experience Index score.

Highest Windows Experience Index Score

So, if you got a really nice CPU that is getting a 7.4 rating, but only an on-board graphic card with a rating of 4.6 you’ll only get a passable WEI of 4.6, like me.

Highest Windex Experience Score

The highest Windows Experience Index score that is currently featured on WEIShare.net is a 7.6 (overall):

Intel i7 CPU 860 @ 2.8 Ghz, 8GB SDRAM, ATI Radeon 4800, 119GB drive

Unfortunately, WEI does not collect information about the RAM or hard drive manufacturers, because that would also be very interesting to compare.

So … what’s the clou?

Windows Experience Index Scores

You might wonder what’s so exciting about comparing Windows Experience Index scores, huh? Well, WEI scores can help you to build a gaming rig based on good scores or you can compare your current setup and possibly find better graphic card drivers since WEIShare will also give you information about the graphic card drivers that are installed on a machine. It’s also a nice way to compete with others for higher scores, which is probably a huge motivation for many to overclock a system and submit their WEI. By the way, I wouldn’t try to use overclocking software to get a higher score, always overclock via BIOS settings!

Wei Score Wei Share

After calculating your WEI score, you can simply download WEI Share from their website and submit your score with one click 100% anonymously and you can even post the score to facebook to let others know of it.
