Surface Pro 3 Pre-Orders Go Live For All

The Surface Pro 3 was announced on Tuesday from Microsoft, and with it, got a lot of press and attention from users and business users. On Wednesday, as promised, Microsoft opened up pre-orders for the Surface Pro 3, and gives those looking for the next generation Surface, a new toy.

The Surface Pro 3, the Surface Pro Type Cover, and the Surface Pen all went live on the Microsoft Store for pre-ordering. Microsoft did exclude some countries from pre-ordering, but a large number of users will be able to order the Surface Pro 3 for delivery in late June 2014.

With the pre-orders opening for the Surface Pro 3, Microsoft is giving its professional customer base a number of different options to choose from. It is available in a number of processor and storage options, and with its ability to launch all Windows apps, could be a huge hit.

The Surface Pro 3 is available for pre-order in a choice of: 64GB / Intel i3, 128 GB Intel i5, 256 / Intel i5, 256 GB / Intel i7, and lastly a 512 GB / Intel i7 group of configurations. They range from an entry level of $749 and go up to $1949 for the biggest and baddest model, and proves to gives users lots of options.

What makes this pre-order different than others is the ability to order accessories as well. The Surface Pro Type cover is available for $129.99, and snaps right onto the Surface Pro 3, and turns it into a laptop replacement. It comes in a variety of colors, and is available in red at the Microsoft Stores.

Additionally via the presale, the Surface Pro 3 Power Supply and Surface Pen also went live for fans to preorder early. The power supply is a general run of the mill power supply, but great for travel. The Surface Pen though is built for the Surface Pro 3, and is perfect for OneNote and other note taking apps that are built for the Surface Pro 3.

Users can pre-order these items today at the Microsoft Store. The Surface Pro 3 is a great upgrade, but many wonder will the price scare users away. Time will tell.
