Skype Launches Mojis

People use Skype on a daily basis to communicate with others, talk with loved ones, share communications with people globally, and additionally for business. Skype realizes the entertainment value as well, and launched Mojis on Tuesday, which should liven Skype up some for many.

Skype has long supported sending files and photos to others, but never really supported emojis. Microsoft has never really been an emoji company, and realized they needed to come up with something new. These new mojis will certainly do that and more.

What Are Emojis?

The best way to describe emojis are that they are short movies and tv clips. Microsoft found that people would rather send these types of short clips of entertainment to other friends and families, and went away from the typical emoji support with Skype.

Skype went ahead and picked some of the wildest and most entertaining clips to feature as mojis, and they are from Microsoft’s partners. These partners include Universal Studios, Disney Muppets, and even the BBC for the global audience of Skype. Users can download the newest Windows, Mac, Android and iOS client to get it going today. But, Windows Phone isn’t supported at first.

How To Send An Emoji On Skype

Putting together Skype and moji’s is actually pretty simple, and all it takes is for the user to visit the emoticon picker. Once they do that, they can browse by the type of moji they want, preview it, and then share it with the other party.

With the moji support, titles like Despicable Me, Bridesmaids, Pitch Perfect, Jurassic Park, Doctor Who, Muppets, and more are supported. This large list of commercial clips should get it used pretty quickly, and should make it a quick hit among all ages.
