Resistance 3 is a first person science fiction shooting game, it’s going to be published by Sony and will only be released on the Playstation 3. Find out more about the release date, story and Playstation Move support after the break.
Resistence 3 is being developed by Insomniac Games and it’s part of the Resistance game series, it’s a sequel to Resistance 2, which was a sequel to Resistance: Fall Of Man.
Resistance 3 Release Date
Resistance 3 isn’t set to be released until the 6th of September 2011, we already know there is going to be a single player and multiplayer modes, which is great really, you can play with your friends online, or at home or play by yourself, it’s all down to you.
Resistance 3 Story
The storyline is based in August 1957, the US has been lost, this is 4 years after Resistance 2, if you can remember Joseph Capelli – Well he has given up with fighting and has gone into hiding with other survivors. It’s not until a way to strike the Chimeran force back is found, this makes Joeseph leave his family to travel from Oklahoma to New York City to attempt to save the United States.
The game play in Resistance 3 sounds great, it’s going to be similar to the game play in the previous Resistance games, but it’ll include a lot more environmental objects, which really bring the whole map together. Combined with a mix of old weapons, new weapons and of course grenades which explode with nails, you’ve got the firepower to fight.
Combined with the fact all of the weapons are upgraded and will improve the more you use them, so by using the game gun all of the time, your level / skill / damage should improve with it, it’s hard to predict how Resistance 3’s weapon upgrading system is going to work to be honest.
Playstation Move Support!
Resistance 3 is also going to support Playstation Move, you’ll need to get your hands on a Playstation Sharp Shooter attachment for Playstation move if you wish to use Playstation move to control your Resistance 3 character. Personally I am very keen to find out how Playstation Move is going to work with first person shooters like Resistance 3.
