Installing Windows 7? Do you wonder how much space is recommended for a Windows 7 installation?
Well, it looks like Microsoft has two answers for that simple question (13030MB and 16384MB)…
The answer is simple: It’s 13030 MB, according to the Windows 7 installer.
The question is, why does Microsoft recommend something else on their website:
16 GB available hard disk space (32-bit) or 20 GB (64-bit)
On top of that you will need additional 15 GB of free disk space for Windows XP Mode and Virtual PC. That would make it 35GB for Windows 7 x64!
