Office For iPad Gets In-App Subscription Plan

The Office for iPad product has clearly been one of Microsoft biggest achievements during 2013, but one nagging concern about it has been the yearly subscription plan that comes with it. Starting on Tuesday, Microsoft and Apple now allow for users to pay with better flexibility.

The Office for iPad has been a product that allows users to view files for free, but charged for any editing features, and charged on a yearly basis. That large purchase was ok for some, but for those on budgets or want a reasonable payment option, it was a challenging option.

This will allows them to run Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and the biggest office productivity programs on their iPad with maximum productivity.

By allowing them to directly subscribe to these plans, they will be able to pay for it monthly now. Varying Office 365 Plans

There are two different plans available for these iPad Office subscriptions and they vary for those looking for different things. The Office 365 Personal plan gives online storage of 1TB for 1 person, and allows them to have Office installed on one PC or Mac, along with one tablet, ideal for one individual.

The Office 365 Home package for example is perfect for a family. This plan allows for 1TB for each person up to 5 people. plus up to 5 PCs or Mac’s and 5 Tablets. So, for a family of 5 this could be an excellent subscription plan, and make it very worth the $9.99 per month or $99 per year for the software. It’s available today with the Office for iPad update via the Apple App Store.

This is a great move for Microsoft. It makes Office more manageable and gets it into more hands.
