Computex is one of the largest computer trade shows on the planet, and this Taiwai based show usually gets a lot of new gadgets announced. Nonetheless, new Windows 8.1 phones were announced by partners at the Computex show, and show off the new power of Windows Phone 8.1 on these devices.
The three new Windows Phone 8.1 phones announced during the Computex are being released by Microsoft’s global partners. They may not be available in all parts of the world, but they show off the vision of Windows 8.1. They are snappy, quick, and very beautiful with Windows Phone 8.1 on board.
The first phone announced was the Prestigo line of phones. They actually announced two different Windows Phone 8.1 devices, the Prestigio MultiPhone 8500 DUO and Prestigio MultiPhone 8400 DUO. The first phone has a 5-inch display, while the latter phone will have a 4-inch display.
The other differences in these phones revolve around the processors onboard. Each of these phones will have the quad core 1.2 GHz processor, and have 8 megapixel cameras onboard. They will have Dual SIM capability, and be available for $235 in July in Europe and $115 in August. Both will be European launches initially for Prestigio.
Yezz and BLU Phones
The other model announced is the Yezz Billy 4.7 Windows Phone. It will have a 4.7-inch IPS display, a 1.2 GHz processor, a rear 8 megapixel camera, Dual SIM capability, and will be available soon in Europe. It is expected to be at $249, and be available via Amazon.com. It was also named to honor Bill Gates, a kudo to him.
The last phone announced at Computex was the BLU 4-inch and 5-inch phones. These will be available in a wide-range group of colors, and be very exciting. Not a lot of details were announced, but these will be in the US and LATAM upcoming. They are extremely colorful, and should be a hit for those looking for a fun colored phone to use. Hopefully phones like these will be affordable as well as beautiful.
