2014 has been a great year for the Windows Phone world. It has come up with a number of Windows Phones, and between Nokia and the new Microsoft Nokia partnership, the Lumia has had a great year. On Wednesday, Microsoft debuts a highlight reel of 2014 for Lumia and is a great thing to view.
The Lumia is the flagship phone for Windows Phones, and it is carried across the cell phone industry, both in the US and around the world. The Lumia line has gotten a great boost around the world, and the debut of new phones makes the Windows Phone line get stronger as 2015 approaches.
February Debuts With Icon Launch
February 2014 started with the Lumia Icon launch for Windows Phone. This was one of the more successful Verizon Wireless phones for Windows Phone, and the 5-inch 1080p Full-HD screen mixed with a 20-megapixel Pureview camera made it so, It has full stereo audio and more that made it a huge seller for Windows Phone.
April 2014 was particularly exciting since it had the launch of 3 different Windows Phones, and they all launched with the new Windows Phone 8.1. The Lumia 630, Lumia 635, and Lumia 930 were all debuted, and they featured single and dual-sim models, quad-core processing, and a number of different features for users to enjoy on Windows Phone.
2nd Half 2014 Lumia Rollout
July and August 2014 had the launch of several Lumia phones as well. July had the launch of the very affordable Lumia 530. It started at under 100 pounds, and is the most affordable Lumia phone on the market. In August 2014, the Lumia 1520 came out in green, and came loaded with Windows 8.1, which made is very successful.
September 2014 started with the launch of the Lumia 730 and Lumia 735, and debuted the selfie phone plus Skype improvements on the Lumia line of phones. These phones have 5-megapixel front-facing cameras and more. November 2014 ended with the announcement of the Lumia 535, which as the first from Microsoft Lumia and is a hit.
Lumia was big in 2014. Microsoft will only make it stronger in 2015, and that is a win.
