The Surface Pro 3 has been a highly successful item for Microsoft, and they know the next version of it must capture the same if not more interest than the current version. On Monday, Microsoft started sending invites for a October 6th event, that can preview those and more.
The invite for the October 6th event in New York City, details that they will be sharing news about Windows 10 devices. It will be a media briefing at the Skylight at Moynihan Station in New Yrk City, and being surrounded by a #windows10devices hashtag.
Surface Pro 4 Coming
It’s been about a year since the current Surface Pro 3 hit the market, and Microsoft has sold millions of these devices. The new event is expected to show off the Surface Pro 4 as one of the major devices. It’s not expected to have big differences but will be differentiating.
The rumors around the Surface Pro 4 have been going wild for a while. Rumors state it will have a different size display, sharper details, a possible thinner design, and maybe even lighter. New keyboards and a finger print scanner could also be introduced, and even a 14-inch model.
New Windows 10 Phones
Besides the Windows 10 devices, the new Windows 10 phones are expected to be showcased, and these include the Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL. Pictures of these phones have been pretty common in the past few weeks, and leaks about the specs have been noted as well.
These two new flagship phones are what enterprise and business customers need, and they will fully support Windows 10 as well. Windows 10 Mobile could also get a final release at this event, giving mobile users a new OS to use and try on their devices.
