One of the most anticipated events for Microsoft in 2015, is clearly Windows 10. Rumors about a consumer event in January were speculated by many, but came to fact on Thursday. On Thursday, Microsoft sent out press invites to a Windows 10 event on January 21, 2015 in Redmond Washington.

The press invite was sent to press and analysts from Microsoft, and this reveal event will be livestreamed across the net as well. All of the Microsoft executives are expected to appear during the event, and should show off the makings of Windows 10 for consumers, being a first for them.

January Windows Event

The January 21, 2015 event in Redmond, will be a consumer facing event, and showcase Satya Nadella, Terry Myerson, Joe Belfiore, and Phil Spencer. This Windows 10 consumer experience will highlight the new Windows 10 mobile SKU among other things, and this should excite users looking forward to Windows 10.

This Windows 10 Mobile SKU will be a first for Microsoft, as it will combine Windows Phone and Windows RT into one operating system. This mobile SKU will allow Windows Store and Metro Style apps to run as one as well, but not feature a desktop. It will be based for tablets and phones, and be a shift for the company.

January To Show January Technical Preview

The other major thing that is expected to be shown in January, is the January Technical Preview of Windows 10. This will be the first one for 2015, and hopefully show off a number of new features for users in Windows 10. These include Continuum and possibly Cortana, and these alone should make Windows 10 much friendlier for consumers.

This January 2015 event is all about Windows 10, and those invited will be able to experience it first hand. This January preview should be a new one for those in the Windows Insider program as well, and be a huge upgrade for the current build out there. It is still a ways away until the final delivery, but its making it ways there soon enough.

January 2015 is a big date for Microsoft. Windows 10 will be shown, and its coming quickly.
