IE And BBM Make Windows Phones Exciting

The upcoming Windows Phone 8.1 update is slowly coming to Windows Phones, and one of the major updates was the redo of Internet Explorer 11. On Thursday, Microsoft talked up the upcoming IE 11 updates, and also announced the upcoming BBM Beta for Windows Phones as well.

The tests from Microsoft on the new changes made to Internet Explorer 11, showed that over 40 percent of mobile sites actually look better on IE 11. The updates for Internet Explorer with this Windows Phone update, should make browsing the web simpler and faster for many.

How IE 11 Will Help Mobile Users

In its blog post on Thursday, Microsoft showed off the number of screens that they compared to other browsers, and it looks better on IE 11. Microsoft took a ton of user data and went through hundreds of mobile sites to make the changes to the updated IE browser, and will make a number of users happy.

Internet Explorer 11 with the Windows Phone 8.1 update, the browser will interpret HTML5 code easier and load web pages much faster than other browsers. A number of internal updates to the touch events model in the browsers internal features was updated, plus hundreds if not thousands of lines of code to make it look hotter on Windows Phone.

Microsoft also announced the BBM Beta for Windows Phone 8 and higher on Thursday. With over 85 million people using Blackberry for their instant messaging client, Microsoft and Blackberry teamed up to build a better client for Windows Phone. Its a high level collaboration with the two companies as noted in their blog post.

Features such as BBM Chats, BBM Groups, Find Friends, BBM Feeds, Pin to Start, and a number of other features have made their way into the new BBM Beta. It is free to download, and is available in the Windows Phone Store starting on Thursday. It still might have a few bugs, but if you communicate with a Blackberry user, now you can easier using Windows Phone.

IE 11 on Windows Phone 8.1 will make sites look prettier. Plus with BBM Beta, users can chat and surf the web with friends in a nicer overall look and feel.
