Network & Sharing Center

For starters, open up the Network & Sharing Center.

Windows 7 Network Sharing Center

Home Network Icon

Next, click on the house icon:

Click on home network icon

Rename Network

Now, enter a name for the network:

You can also change the network icon if you want to.

Easy, huh?
