Download Windows 8 Start Screen for Windows 7 For Free (Works on XP/Vista)

Start Screen Installed On Windows 7_Ll Windows 8 is out now, but if you still have Windows 7 you can download and install the Start screen using 3rd-party tools like this one

1. Step Head over to http://dncube.deviantart.com/ and download the Start Screen for Windows 7 – this Start screen app has been created by Narayan Chaudhary aka “Dncube” who has been a DeviantArt member for 4 years

2. Step Double-click the Win8TP3setup.exe

3. Step By default it will install the program to C:\Program Files (x86)\nCube\Windows 8 Transformation Pack. The Start screen app only requires 8MB of free disk space on Windows 7, XP or Vista

4. Step A win8.exe may request an outbound connection – you can block it and it will work

5. Step Once you have properly installed the Start screen, you can access it using the Windows 7 system tray – it does NOT work like the Windows 8 Start screen: Hovering over the left corner does not show you the menu

6. Step The App works quite well, but it feels a little counter-intuitive at first. For example the scroll bar is missing that would allow you to see more apps. Also some shortcuts are missing, but all in all it’s a decent solution
