Dead Rising 3 Location, New Character, Possible Release Dates

Rumor has it that Dead Rising 3 is set in California and Frank West will NOT return. Release date might not be before 2013

Dead Rising 3 characters

Escape Los Perdidos

The main goal of the game will be to escape the fictional zombie-infested city of Los Perdidos somewhere in California before some kind of bomb explodes that is planned to prevent a global outbreak.

Well, the story seems to be very similar to Resident Evil 3: Nemesis where you have to escape Raccoon before the bomb goes off. According to, the character that you will control is called Rick and is an auto mechanic. Obviously, his best way to get out of the mess is to repair something .. like a plane. Of course there’s a big corp behind all the evil mess and the zombies – Phenotrans. They will surely give you a hard time and make your escape not as easy as it seems.

Even if the plot sounds very simple, I could imagine they can tell a nice story about how Rick escapes and put you in the middle of it. It’s all about the characters, emotions and gameplay anyway, so we’ll see how it works out and let you know when the game is supposed to come out.

Possible Release Dates

Dead Rising 2 was released on September 24-30 2010. Even if they immediately started working on the game (Capcom has plenty of other projects), it will take 2-3 years from that date.

Dead Rising 3 might be planned for a release in early or mid 2013. Game development takes time, so you should not expect this before 2013 and possibly be surprised if they get it out before that.
