DVD drive not recognized in Windows 7 (Part 2)

As we previously reported, some people are getting the annoying message “DVD drive not recognized in Windows 7“. We offered a few registry hacks to solve the problem and repair your UpperFilters and LowerFilters. Another cause of the error can be an autorun parasite/virus or corrupted autorun settings.

DVD drive not recognized: Repair Tool

So, if you tried our registry hacks and deleted UpperFilters and LowerFilters as we suggest and your DVD drive still does not work properly, you might want to try this little tool developed by Rizone. The 371KB small tool can disable/repair your autorun. In Windows 7 removable drives do not use autorun by default, so it will only disable autorun for your built-in drives.
