Blizzard has released the Starcraft 2 client. You can download it for free right now from their servers. However, you won’t be able to play it until July 27th and you still need to buy a digital copy.

You should definitely download the client now if you don’t want to wait for hours on July 27th. You could also try your luck at one of the stores that will open at midnight on July 27th exclusively to celebrate the launch of Starcraft 2.

When is the official launch time of Starcraft 2?
You’ll be able to buy Starcraft 2 in stores on July 27th (midnight). Digital copies are available shortly after at: 7/27/2010 10:00 AM PDT (PDT is GMT – 7 hours)

That means if you’re in the US, you’ll get your copy faster if you buy it in stores!
