A few modders teamed up to create a multiplayer mod for The Elder Scrolls Skyrim. Check out the first test.

We’ve seen many attempts to create multiplayer mods for games such as GTA and The Elder Scrolls Morrowind and Oblivion, but most multiplayer mods are unplayable usually.

So far, the Skyrim multiplayer mod also is not something you would enjoy. However, the devs are making great progress and it looks like they can actually pull it off.

I think a lot of people would be just happy if they could go hunt together and play the singleplayer campaign with a friend. Co-op games are cool. I very much liked the co-op mode of Trine 2 and Hunted:The Demon’s Forge wasn’t so bad either, but Skyrim with co-op mode would be even better. One of the best games of 2011 really deserves something that just works.

We’ll keep you updated on the progress they make on this multiplayer mod and will let you know when it’s actually worth downloading this mod.

How To Install This Skyrim Mod?

Make sure to create backup files of all Skyrim configs, then extract all files to your Skyrim main folder and add the desktop shortcut for SkyrimOnline.exe

F3 is an important key in this mod to toggle UI and game mode.
