Disable explorer.exe on startup
If you prefer using the command line or do not want guests to use the explorer, you could disable the explorer.exe on startup.
If you are only looking for a quick workaround to prevent some users from opening the explorer, you can simply kill the explorer.exe using a batch script when you log in. However, we suggest if you need more protection that you should get a real program that revokes access to the explorer.

However, if you only want to to disable the explorer.exe to get rid of distraction follow this:
1. Open notepad editor
2. Enter taskkill /IM explorer.exe /T
3. Save the notepad file as a .bat file and select “all files” from the dropdown. If you need more instructions for this step please read our tutorial How to save notepad file as .bat file
4. Put this bat file into the startup folder C:\Users\sOliver\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup – If you need more instructions how to locate this folder please read the tutorial Windows 7,8 Startup folder location
