Dark/Pink Windows 7 Shell Theme
Have you been looking for some dark Windows 7 themes? You’ll find plenty of them on our list of 30 free Windows 7 desktop themes. Here’s a new one that I find quite stunning:
The dark/pink Windows 7 theme is called “Astral” and supports both Windows 7 x32 and x64. It’s a creation of DA member Tacony. Make sure to check out his excellent other deviations and favorites.
Includes theme files:
- Explorer.exe
- Explorerframe.dll
- Shell32.dll
- .theme files
- Wallpaper
Replacing Explorerframe.dll
Just a reminder to those of you who are new to installing Windows 7 shell themes. The explorerframe.dll 64-bit goes into the system32 Windows folder (C:/Windows/system32/explorerframe.dll) and the 32-bit file goes into the sysWoW64 folder (C:/Windows/SysWoW64/explorerframe.dll).
Replacing the explorerframe.dll or shell32.dll is very similar to replacing the explorer.exe, so make sure to read our tutorial how to replace system files in Windows 7.
