Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 Announcement Rumors

A false Rumor that Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 will be announced soonish is spreading. However, apparently it was just that – a rumor. Activision confirmed that MW3 will not be announced during the next days/weeks. However, we already know that Infinity Ward is working on Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3. The question is, what are they waiting for?

Fact: The website findmakarov.com was not created by Activision and will not officially announce Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3

Rumor also has it that Sledgehammer is also currently involved in the development of Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 rather than developing a stand-alone Call of Duty action game. But maybe that is just another of those hoaxes. You’ve got to take every news with a grain of salt these days.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 – Release Date Delay?

Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 was announced December 3rd, 2008 – almost a full year before the actual release of the game.

I’m wondering, could the delay of the Modern Warfare 3 announcement be a first sign that Infinity Ward needs more development time to finish the game? Info: Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 was released on November 10th, 2009. Are two years enough to develop a new high-quality game?
