Call of Duty 7 will be titled Black Ops and will lead you through some of the most important wars in history, this has now been officially confirmed by Treyarch.

It was expected that Treyarch would confirm Call of Duty 7 Black Ops tonight on SpikeTV, but they decided to annouce it via Twitter and give us some stuff to discuss. In the meantime, Activision also confirmed Call of Duty 8 and a Call of Duty Action Adventure.

Later today, Treyarch will reveal the very first Call of Duty Black Ops trailer.

So, what we do know about Call of Duty Black Ops so far?

Set during the Cold War, Call of Duty 7 Black Ops will feature Cuba, SAS operations and as rumored it will also feature the Vietnam war.

As rumored previously, Call of Duty Black Ops will also probably feature a zombie-mode and we already know a little bit about the characters that you will be able to play in Call of Duty Black Ops.
