Call of Duty 9 News: “Iron Wolf” Release Date Confirmed for 2012
Here are the latest Call of Duty 9 news: A release date for “Iron Wolf” has been confirmed by Activision. Either Call of Duty Black Ops 2 or Call of Duty World at War 2 or possibly something else will be released in 2012.
The news comes from Bobby Kotick, who’s Activision’s CEO, who confirmed that a new Call of Duty game will be released in 2012 during an investors call. Aside from CoD, he also mentioned two Blizzard games: Diablo 3 and WoW Mists of Pandaria.

We expect that the new Call of Duty 9 (codename Iron Wolf) will be unveiled shortly before the E3. The Developer is surely Treyarch, while Infinity Ward is preparing Call of Duty 10 (Modern Warfare 4?).
Iron Wolf More Than A Codename?
Many Call of Duty fans are probably looking for a sequel to World at War, rather than another Black Ops sequel. If they are making that decision based on sales numbers, we will see another Black Ops game, but the developer might have other plan and might even add a completely new IP to the Call of Duty franchise. A codename “Iron Wolf” is rumored to be a first hint at a completely new Call of Duty game.

If EA wants to stay ahead, they will surely announce a new Battlefield game soonish. However, their last investors call did not reveal any details. We might not see a Battlefield 4 until 2013.

Well, Black Ops was a sequel to WaW. And IMO, I think that they should make a World War 1 game, as it’s never been done and then the franchise wouldn’t be the same 3 games in a row. But Iron Wolf, I remember hearing something about that in history class, but also Reznov’s nickname. So it could be a Reznov spinoff or a Gulf War game
Iron Wolves were an elite squad during WW2 and the game is also rumored to have to do a lot about Russians. But I totally agree with Cody it Tyrearch should make a WW1 game but I don’t think it should be Infinity Ward or Slegehammer because they would ruin it.
I agree with both of you. Iron Wolf would be a great game but Infinity Ward completly ruined Modern Warfare 3. COD WAW does have the best zombie mode but black ops has the best maps
I think its a little too early to be in the works of COD 9 but I would be pleased to see COD 9 be a sequel (prequel of black ops) of WAW.I dont however think the game will lead out a MW4 beacause of course if you have played campaign of MW3 you would now it SEEMS over but treyarch and Infinity ward always has a trick up their sleeve.

I think you’re all right about this, but I’ve been hearing the same rumor for about a month now. They might add a Zombie Campaign, which means they have to add the WaW storyline of Nazi Zombies and Black Ops storyline of Zombies. I don’t know if this is true, but I definitly think its a good idea.
Black ops forces (Iron Wolves)in a ww1 or ww2 game? epic they better have more weapons than waw but treyarch, please do most the multiplayer work and make it feel like your past games, Dont mess thiss this up im counting on yall.
i surly think that infinity ward and treyach should come together to make cod 9 because infinity ward have amazing graphics and guns but e need treyach in all of this because of zombies

cody they actually did make a WWI cod and that was call of duty 1 the only war they haven’t used in a call of duty yet is; the korean war, civil war, and the revolutionary war.
no there wasnt any ww1 game but i dont think that any ww1 game will come, because for the online modus there wont be any good kilstreaks only something like artillery, gas, mortar or planes( those planes with 4 wings or something). But a game with cpt. price will be good, and that soap will coming back that he wasnt completely dead that his heart was beating again and they have an rendevouz on a mission. that guys, will be a good game
Gentlemen. Do bear in mind iw and treyarch play leap frog with their releases. The modern warfare series is only iw’s baby. So this year will certainly be a treyarch game. mw3 was GARBAGE! Fan boys can hate as gamers will play battlefield while we wait for the call of booty empire to get its asst together.
Ok, mostly all of you didnt know whats the theme of new COD game. Kyle you were right about that leapfrog thing you were talking about. COD 4 IW, WaW Trey, MW2 IW, COD BO Trey, and MW3 IW. But this coming November, Treyarch will introduce the story of Viktor Reznov. Why??? Because you or all of you would think about how was Reznov’s background story when he was just a soldier back in WWI, well apparently Treyarch will actually show you the story how Reznov started it all.
I don’t care what’s on it as long as it has zombies, and I think a majority of the people would agree. SO PUT ZOMBIES ON IT!!! Maybe add some new guns to it as well.

I think they should do a new series starting with iron wolf that is based around 2020. I agree that a ww1 game would be shit because everyone wants a more modern game. I hope that they do NOT add zombies because zombies are stupid and a waste of time. I would buy “iron wolf” even if it was ww2 but i doubt they will make a ww2 game. Please discuss.
Some people say that if u had a ww1 game it would have no good kill streaks but u could have a 3-5-7, radar, artillery and gas. I am not suggesting that they should have a ww1 game because it would not sell. I hope they don’t put zombies in it and i also hope its not mw4 because Makarov died, and zakhaev died
Screw WW1, Lets go further back and do a revolutionary war. It’s time for Call of Duty to change things up a little. The game hasn’t changed much for to long. Sure the guns wouldn’t be as advanced, but who wouldn’t want to shoot cannons and Muskets while a hoard of guys with swords rush at you. The ability to dodge and quick relflexes would be vital. Not to mention accuracy would finally be a key component instead of unloading 30 bullets into a guy who hasn’t spotted you just because you decided to camp under a thornbush.
Well erick, an old game like that would be terribble because when reloading it takes about a minute. First you have to light a fuse, add the gunpowder and shoot. If there was a revolutionary war it should be one after 1950, so it wont be too old.
i think cod 9 is going to be black ops 2 well actually im sure it will be black ops 2. just yesterday i saw on a video on youtube it was a beta menu its probably fake. on the main menu it said zombies campaign i like zombies but i dont like the point of it zombies is stupid but fun. i agree whit monan ww1 would be crap and black ops 2 campaign would’nt really work but still i cant wait for cod 9

Anyway im pretty sure it will be black ops 2 and the release date will probably be November 6 and i think the teaser will be sometime this month cant wait. Im looking forward to the campaign more then multiplayer because if it is black ops 2 which it is the campaign will be weird

i agree with Erick! a revolutionary war game would be awesome!!! they wouldnt have to make the reload speed that slow. you could have like sleight of hand or something. ha, it would be a major turn if they created a game like that. a civil war game would be cool though too. with gatling guns and ironclads. oh yeaah!
