Angry Birds developer Rovio, recently acquired by EA for 20 million, announced that the mobile game will be coming for XBOX360, PS3 and Wii. It will also be coming for Windows Phone 7 – but not this year.

Windows Phone 7 Launch Delayed

After a very successful launch on Google’s mobile phone Android, there are plans for a release on WP7 (Windows Phone 7). However, Rovio’s CEO (Peter Vesterbacka) stated that the launch has to be delayed and it will not be released this year for WP7. Originally, it was planned to release Angry Birds for Windows Phone 7 on December 11.

Angry Birds Console Game

For those of you who haven’t played it yet, Angry Birds is a mobile game that has been downloaded over 36 million times so far. Of course when a mobile game has so much success there needs to be a console game!

So far, there are plans for a PSP, PS3, Wii, Nintendo DS and XBOX360 version of Angry Birds. The game will be released on XBLA (Microsoft’s arcade game platform) and PSN. So far there are no concrete release dates, but as soon as we get more infos we will post them on our site.
